Drawn in by grace, reaching out in love

The Church of the Atonement treasures its children.

Atonement offers Christian formation to its youngest members each Sunday during the first half of the 10:00am service, then come into the service to share Eucharist with their family.

The younger children begin in a group session in the Chapel, sharing their experiences, prayers, and thanksgivings, then go to their age-appropriate classes.  The ChurchSchool program currently uses the Episcopal Church Curriculum.

Children learn through lessons taken from scripture, building relationships with the great characters of the Bible.  They explore their own faith through listening to the great stories of the Bible, animated discussion, fun activities, and artistic expression.

The Church of the Atonement feels blessed to be in compliance with the Safe Church Policy recommended by our Diocese.

Baptized children may receive Holy Communion with the consent of their parents.  Parents are welcome to discuss the importance of this sacrament with the rector.
