Baptisms take place throughout the year as part of our regularly scheduled Sunday worship, and require both spiritual preparation and liturgical planning. They are a source of great joy and hope to this community and to the world. Please be in contact with the parish Clergy well in advance of any possible dates.
In today's society, weddings have become both increasingly complex and highly commercialized. Our ecclesiastical tradition intends to value marriage as a spiritual undertaking, not as a business transaction. If you feel called to pursue this avenue, please be in touch with the parish Clergy at least 6 months prior to any intended dates. Please also know that the Diocese and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts have specific requirements regarding marriage which must, at all times, be met and adhered to.
Regardless of the spiritual discernment and personal sentiments of the individual Clergy, this Diocese and its elected leadership does not currently permit the marriage of same sex couples. For many of us, this is a source of great sadness and it is symptomatic of a terrible brokenness which we pray mightily, some day, to mend.
